Kenneth Detamore's Testimony
Growing up in a Christian home and getting saved at a young age sometimes has a tendency to make one think they don't have anything special to share. Most people think that God has to save them from something spectacular to have a testimony worth sharing. But the simple fact that God loved me, as well as the whole world, makes me want to share how God has not only saved me, but spared me from a lot of things this world has to offer.
I was first asked to share my Testimony when I was a student at Frontier School of the Bible. I had to do so for a class that would prepare me how to preach, called Homiletics. It was in this class that I learned that preparing my Testimony made me thankful for what God had done in my life. When i was 11 years old I had the privilege of attending the same Bible Camp my mom had attended in the mountains of Southern California-Alpine Bible Camp. It was there that I had just finished hearing the speaker share the story of Heaven and Hell and who was going to which place. I realized that in order to go to Heaven, I had to place my trust in Jesus' Death, Burial and Resurrection in order to be able to get to Heaven. So that night I prayed with my counselor and asked Jesus to come and take away my sins, so that I could spend all eternity with Him in Heaven.
Since 1993 I have been involved in CEF(Child Evangelism Fellowship) and in 1995 I decided to pursue serving God by attending a Bible College. Frontier School of the Bible in Lagrange, WY was my decision and I graduated from there in 1998 and have been involved in Missions and ministry since then.
On July 4th, 2009, I was married to Lisa Flint. She is a cousin of two of my friends from Bible School and we were introduced at a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. The rest, they say is history and we fell in love and were married 6 months later. We both look forward to seeing how God will use us together as we serve Him faithfully here with One-Way in Cheyenne, WY.
