Angels of The Steel Pans
By Dale Lloyd Vink
Romans 10:18
They came to play metallically
their tambour sounds for Sunday
The One-Way Steel Pan
Orchesesta's.....family.group
They said that they had not
been playing very long
But instantly we loved
that happy troop.
The congregation opened homes
to fellowship and slumber.
And got more than they gave
of friendly cheer
The Folks that hosted
Said that group
to them were such a blessing.
It gave much joy
just to have them near
Beautiful to look at,
wonderful to hear,
Holy spirit shining from within.
Sunday morning came and
They were more than ready.
For the concert'sspecial program
To begin.
The playing started slowly
Working measured beats of music,
Pretty good for folks
who hadn't played too long.
Then gracefully they shifted
into a higher gear,
As their rhythm
put emotion in the song
To hear and feel that music
Put goose bumps on our flesh
And soaked our souls
With rhythm to our feet.
The performance was terrific
the enjoyment we were feeling
Made it hard for us
to sit there in our seat.
God has a special place for them
within His mighty heart
They're Heaven sent
with songs they choose to play
Because we know, that while we feel
the joy that's in the music,
The songs tell of salvation,
and the price... Christ had to pay.
Some day, I hopeyou get to feel
excitement from their music.
And hear the notes
vibrating on the breeze.
I hope you'll stop and listen,
to the music and the message
As the One-Way Steel Pan Orchestra
Sets... your mind at ease.
